Maybe it’s time to step back and rethink your schedule.

Does it include time for what’s most important?

Sleep, school, chores, activities … life gets busy quick! The world tells us that busier equals happier. But that’s not always true.

“I have tried to imagine [Jesus Christ] bustling between meetings or multitasking to get a list of urgent things accomplished,” President Dieter F. Uchtdorf said. “I can’t see it. Instead I see the compassionate and caring Son of God purposefully living each day.”1

Maybe now is a good time to rethink your schedule. Are you giving time back to God and those around you? Some of the most important parts of each day are when we:

  • Pray and ponder.
  • Spend time with family.
  • Study scriptures.
  • Help those in need.

And here’s a secret: doing these things actually helps us accomplish all the other items on our to-do list. We promise!

God Will Help

God can help you find the right balance between slowing down and staying busy. For the next week, put extra effort into praying as you plan your schedule.
