Mi primer viaje de ministración como miembro de la Presidencia General de las Mujeres Jóvenes fue a Fiyi, Kiribati y Samoa. Nunca antes había estado en esos países, ¡y lo pasé increíblemente bien conociendo a las personas más maravillosas!
En uno de los devocionales en los que hablé, las mujeres y los hombres jóvenes cantaron juntos canciones del álbum musical para los jóvenes 2023 y hablamos acerca de la doctrina de la letra. Los jóvenes cantaron de manera espectacular: alto y con toda su fuerza. Mientras caminaba entre los asistentes sosteniendo el micrófono, vi una silla vacía. Me sentí atraída hacia esa silla y, cuando me senté, me di cuenta de que la joven que estaba a mi lado estaba llorando. Lloraba tanto que las lágrimas rodaban por sus mejillas. La abracé mientras cantábamos y le dije: “¿Sabes que el Padre Celestial y Jesucristo te aman muchísimo?”.
Ese momento fue muy preciado para mí. No sé por qué lloraba; tal vez estaba sintiendo el Espíritu, o quizás tenía desafíos, pero espero que mi abrazo la ayudara a saber lo amada que es.
El Espíritu Santo nos conoce, sabe cómo guiarnos y conoce las necesidades de los que nos rodean. Si prestamos atención y estamos dispuestos a hacer lo correcto, podemos recibir impresiones del tipo “siéntate aquí”.
¿Sabes que el Padre Celestial y Jesucristo te aman muchísimo?

My first ministry trip as a member of the Young Women General Presidency was to Fiji, Kiribati, and Samoa. I have never been to these countries before, and I had an incredible time meeting the most wonderful people!
At one of the devotionals where I spoke, the young women and young men sang songs together from the Youth 2023 album and we talked about the doctrine in the lyrics. The youth sang spectacularly, so loud and with all their strength! As I was walking around the audience holding the microphone, I saw one empty chair. I was drawn to that chair, and when I sat down I noticed the girl beside me was crying. She was crying so much I could see her tears dropping down her cheeks. I hugged her while we sang and I told her, “Do you know that Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ love you so very much?”
That moment was precious to me. I don’t know why she was crying; maybe she was feeling the Spirit or maybe she was in the middle of a challenge, but I hope my hug helped her know how loved she is.
God knows us. He knows the needs of those around us. He sends the Holy Ghost to guide us. If we pay attention and are willing to do the right things, we may have an idea like “sit here.”
