Chuseok is filled with food, family, and fun.
Chuseok is one of the biggest holidays in South Korea!
It’s a harvest festival that lasts for three days around the autumn equinox. This year, Chuseok will be celebrated from September 9–12.
During Chuseok, Koreans:
- Remember ancestors, visit burial places, and clean graves.
- Play games and share meals with family.
- Wear traditional clothing called hanbok.
- Exchange gifts with each other.
People might not celebrate Chuseok where you live, but it’s never a bad time to celebrate family!
