Chuseok is filled with food, family, and fun.

Chuseok is one of the biggest holidays in South Korea!

It’s a harvest festival that lasts for three days around the autumn equinox. This year, Chuseok will be celebrated from September 9–12.

During Chuseok, Koreans:

  • Remember ancestors, visit burial places, and clean graves.
  • Play games and share meals with family.
  • Wear traditional clothing called hanbok.
  • Exchange gifts with each other.

People might not celebrate Chuseok where you live, but it’s never a bad time to celebrate family!
