Your children may sing about “Scripture Power” on Sunday, but how do they really feel when it’s time to read with the family or on their own?
In a recent episode of Gospel Solutions for Families, Primary General President Joy B. Jones and her husband shared their tips for helping kids understand that family scripture study isn’t just an agenda item and that the scriptures are a source power on which anyone can draw. Brother and Sister Jones also suggest some ways parents can help kids stay focused during scripture study.
“My prayer is that every child has that opportunity to experience feeling the Spirit as they are reading the word of God, and recognizing that there is a power there that blesses them every day,” Sister Jones says.
