This week, we are featuring the Conversations episode with Sister Barbara Thompson, former counselor in the general Relief Society presidency.
Sister Thompson is such a neat and inspiring woman. We loved hearing her discuss her childhood, family life, callings, and Relief Society.
One experience she shares is how she came to serve a mission in Hamburg, Germany. Listen to her tell the story in the clip below:
Sister Thompson also describes not having the opportunity to marry and how her life didn’t quite turn out how she had planned. She planned on going to college, marrying a handsome man with a perfect job, and having four perfect children. Many of those goals were not realized in the way she hoped. But despite that, she knows that the Lord loves her and that things will work out. She gives encouragement and advice to those who may be going through similar experiences.
To learn more about her life and hear her profound insights, listen to the full interview on the Mormon Channel.
