    December 22, 2015

Merry Christmas! We’re so excited that this special holiday is finally here. If you’re looking for a spiritual activity to do together as a family this week, we’ve compiled all of the Christmas Bible Videos and corresponding scriptures for you in chronological order so that you and your family can read, discuss, and visualize these miraculous events together. Enjoy!

An Angel Foretells Christ’s Birth to Mary

Read Luke 1:26–38 together as a family, and then watch this video about when the angel Gabriel came to Mary to announce that she would be the mother of the Son of God. How would you feel if you were Mary being told this news?

    Mary and Elisabeth Rejoice Together

Shortly after Mary has the angelic visit, she visits the house of her relative Elisabeth, only to find out that they are both experiencing miraculous pregnancies. Read Luke 1:39–55 together, and then watch this depiction of that scene. Why was it important for Mary and Elisabeth to support each other?

Mary and Joseph Travel to Bethlehem

Once Mary was very far along in her pregnancy, she and Joseph needed to go to Bethlehem to be taxed. When they got there, however, there was no room for them to stay anywhere, so they had to make do in a small stable. Read Luke 2:4–7 together, and then watch the following video. How would you feel if you had to give birth and sleep next to barn animals?

Shepherds Learn of the Birth of Christ

When Jesus was born, the angel Gabriel also announced His birth to some nearby shepherds. Read Luke 2:8–18, and then watch this video. Why do you think the angel wanted the shepherds to know about Christ’s birth?

    Wise Men Seek Jesus

There were wise men living east of Jerusalem who came to Jerusalem to meet the new King, Jesus, who had been born. Read Matthew 2:1–2, 11–15 together, and then watch this video. Why was seeing Jesus so important to the wise men that they traveled such a long distance?
