Youth: Mark
Gospel Living

It’s more than a simple tithing story.

Here’s Mark’s experience with God’s love.

“I don’t always hear Heavenly Father’s voice, but He helps me quietly. He shows me that He exists and He’s there for me when I need Him. And He has done the same for my mother,” Mark said.

“After my mom joined the Church in Ukraine, she saved up money to pay her tithing. Her family was very poor, and my grandma told her they needed the cash to buy food for her brothers and sisters. But my mom refused. ‘No,’ she said. ‘This is not your money. It’s God’s money.’ She ran to the church to pay her tithing,” he said.

“When my mom got back, she found her family eating pasta and mashed potatoes. The night before, her aunt had a dream that she needed to take food to their family,” he said.

“This may seem simple, but this is how Heavenly Father shows Himself to me. He helps me with tiny things that make a big difference in my life.”

Thanks so much for sharing, Mark! Tithing is a simple way we can invite tremendous blessings into our life.

We hope you’ve enjoyed the small and simple success stories shared throughout this month! Find more inspiration around this topic on pages 12–14 of February’s For the Strength of Youth magazine.

Tithing Check

If you haven’t paid tithing before, this would be a good time to start! We are blessed by giving ten percent of our increase back to the Lord.
