If she didn’t get better soon, she’d be sent home.

Here’s Kaitlyn’s FSY experience.

FSY is full of fun! But for Kaitlyn, day three got rough.

She woke up and felt really sick. She had to rest for most of the day, and missed out on a lot of activities.

“I couldn’t help but feel that my day was a total waste,” she said. “I felt really disappointed.”

The health coordinator said that if she wasn’t feeling better by the next day, she would have to go home. So Kaitlyn did what she could. She rested and got a priesthood blessing. Leaders and other people in her group prayed for her. Her parents at home also asked people to pray for her to be able to finish her conference experience.

“I could really feel the spirit that night,” Kaitlyn said. “The next day I woke up and I felt better! I could stay! I was so happy!”

Kaitlyn’s FSY experience wasn’t perfect. But it helped her draw closer to the Lord.

“I learned so much,” Kaitlyn said, “FSY has become my favorite experience I’ve ever had.”

Why?

Some people who pray for healing remain sick. One girl even died from a medical emergency at FSY! Why do you think some people experience healing and others don’t? This would be great to talk about with a faithful parent or leader.
