How Can I Be a Witness of Jesus Christ?

01/08/23 | 1 min read

When Jesus Christ was born, several groups of people recognized that He was the promised Savior. Besides Mary and Joseph, these people included the shepherds, Simeon, Anna, and later, the Wise Men. They bore witness of Jesus Christ’s divinity.

Our families and friends are some of the most important people with whom we can share our witness of the Savior. “We talk of Christ, we rejoice in Christ, we preach of Christ, we prophesy of Christ, and we write according to our prophecies, that our children may know to what source they may look for a remission of their sins” (2 Nephi 25:26).

The Nativity
Simeon and Christ
New Testament: Anna
Three Wise Men

Read about how these witnesses responded when they first saw Jesus Christ. Then consider sharing your testimony with your family or with some friends, or record your testimony in your journal.

“Being a witness of Jesus Christ in the most fundamental sense is to possess a sure, personal testimony that He is the divine Son of God, the Savior and Redeemer of the world.”

Elder D. Todd Christofferson of the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles, “Becoming a Witness of Christ,” Liahona, Mar. 2008, 59.

Discussion

In what ways can we be witnesses of the Savior “at all times and in all things, and in all places”? (Mosiah 18:9).
