If you’ve been adding leaves each day this month, you may have already written about the more obvious blessings in your life. But don’t give up! There are more things to be grateful for than we may first realize.
As Elder Joseph B. Wirthlin once said: “The more often we see the things around us—even the more beautiful and wonderful things—the more they become invisible to us. That is why we often take for granted the beauty of this world: the flowers, the trees, the birds, the clouds—even those we love. Because we see things so often, we see them less and less.”1
Maybe this week we can practice “waking up” to the little blessings we didn’t pay attention to before!
Don’t Take Things for Granted.
