Going through hard times this Christmas?

You’re not alone.

Christmastime is usually filled with yummy food, visits with loved ones, and wonderful memories. Or at least, that’s how we want the holidays to be!

But hard things still happen during Christmas. Parents still get divorced, people still lose jobs, and loved ones still pass away. Here are a few stories from other youth who had to adjust to a “new normal” during the holiday season:

What did they do to find peace? Among other things, they invited the Spirit and found ways to help others. They were patient with their feelings, and let difficult feelings come and go.

If you’re going through hard times this holiday season, trust that Jesus Christ understands these “new normal” situations. He loves you. Even if you feel some sadness this year, He can also help you feel peace.

Deck the Halls

Make a list of at least 10 things you’re grateful for. Then, deck the halls—or, rather, decorate your hallway or room with that list!
