So why not choose to team up with Him?

You’ve probably heard President Russell M. Nelson’s invitation to “let God prevail” in your life.1

Basically, that means to let God lead you to victory. It means to trust that He loves and knows you better than you love or know yourself.

But how do we do that in everyday life? Here are three choices that Elder Gerrit W. Gong said were key:

  1. Choose to believe. Choose to live in a new way: God’s way! Decide to have faith that His way will lead to guidance, opportunities, and joy like you never could have expected.
  2. Choose to be good. Make courageous choices. Be a kind friend, especially to those who are excluded, and stick with those who will help you live with integrity.
  3. Choose to “be still.” Connect in spiritual ways with heaven. Make the conscious effort to slow down and notice God’s hand in your life.

Notice action words like choose, decide, and connect. Being close to God—letting Him prevail—takes work on our part. But it will be worth it in the end! That promise is a sure thing.
