Four Scriptures for Decision-Making

The scriptures are full of principles that can guide you in your decision-making process, whether you’re deciding what sport to play, what classes you should take, or what goals you should set. Here are excerpts from four such scriptures to guide you:

• Doctrine and Covenants 9:8–9: “Study it out in your mind; then you must ask me if it be right.”
• Jacob 4:10: “Seek not to counsel the Lord, but take counsel from his hand.” Translation: Do what the Lord wants, even if it’s not what YOU want.
• Alma 37:37: “He will direct thee for good.” Trust that He has your best interests in mind.
• Moroni 7:16–17: “Every thing which inviteth to do good … is sent forth by the power and gift of Christ.” If the thing you’re considering invites you to do good or BE good, it’s probably a good thing to pursue.
