Here’s how to make the weekend a time of personal revelation.

General conference is next weekend, October 2–3. You may be heading into this conference with questions—about the gospel, life decisions, or both! Here’s how to make it a season of inspiration and revelation.

Tip 1: Make a list of questions ahead of time.

What’s on your mind? What have you been struggling with? Pick a few questions to focus on. Here are some examples:

  • Are there ways I can help my family get along better?
  • What should I do after high school (mission, job, college)?
  • How can I feel more of God’s love in my life?

Tip 2: Pray before, during, and after.

Pray before conference for help feeling the Spirit. Pray in your heart throughout conference to stay spiritually in tune. After conference, thank Heavenly Father for what you are learning.

Tip 3: Absorb and write.

Enjoy conference! Make it a special time. Pay attention to the thoughts and feelings that come during each talk. Write them down, even if they don’t seem to be direct answers at first. Sometimes revelation comes together after some additional pondering and faith.
