Your small sacrifice can make a big difference.
Jesus once fasted for 40 days!1 We can follow His example and fast for those in need as our health permits.
- Choose someone to fast for, and think of a particular need they have.
- Start your fast with a prayer (and keep a prayer in your heart).
- Skip food and water for two consecutive meals.
- Throughout the day, keeping praying and thinking about the reason you are fasting.
- End with another prayer. You’ve done it!
Fasting isn’t just going without food and water. When you do it right, fasting packs a powerful spiritual punch—both for you and for those you fast for.
