Here’s Paula, an FSY conference counselor.

Hello, everyone! We’d like you to meet Paula, one of many super awesome FSY counselors. We asked her some questions about the conference.

Meet an FSY Counselor: Paula Bravo

What is the role of an FSY counselor?

“To be a friend and mentor who shows that living the gospel in this sin-sick world is worth it—and fun! Being a light to your peers is possible. Something that I take as my personal role is to be the evidence that none of us has living the gospel all figured out, and none of us is flawless at it. And that’s OK.”

What can I get out of FSY?

“You can can get a better understanding of the tools you have to live the gospel. You can make lasting friendships. And most importantly, you can feel the love that the Savior has for you! Also, you can feel the Spirit testify to your hearts of things that you yearn to know and feel. If any of you have wondered what feeling the Spirit is like, come to FSY and get a taste of it!”

How should I prepare for FSY?

“It’s important to go into the conference knowing that it can be a time of personal revelation. Be prepared to act on it.

“I worked with some youth who wished they would have come with a more willing heart. Some of them only came because their parents made them, and they had a great week—but thought it would have been a lot better if they came with a desire to be there in the first place.

“Also, start drinking water and putting on sunscreen often, because the counselors will be asking you to do this a lot!”

Thanks so much, Paula! Sounds like a life-changing experience.

Pre-FSY Feelings
