Are we filling our lamps each day?
In this parable, the Savior tells a story about keeping lamps filled. (See the video above!) But what does that have to do with our lives today?
Well, like most parables, there’s more than one thing we can learn from the symbolism. Here are some ideas! We can...
- Exercise increased faith in Jesus Christ, strengthen your personal conversion to Him.
- Pray for and act on opportunities to grow your testimony of the Savior and His gospel.
- Repent of sins each day instead of putting it off and trying to avoid accountability.
- Prepare yourself in every way for the Second Coming of Jesus Christ.
Do you notice a common theme throughout all of these ideas? It can be summed up in one word: preparation. Let’s do all we can spiritually, physically, emotionally, and intellectually to be prepared to meet God someday, and to do whatever else needs to be done in the meantime!
