Could he finish his filmmaking goal?

Nathan’s efforts blessed him in multiple ways.

Remember this post asking about your spiritual gifts? Nathan responded by sharing a story:

“One of my gifts is filmmaking. I started making movies with friends and family about three years ago. Filmmaking has helped me gain new friends, cope with my anxiety, and most of all grow closer to the Savior.

“I set a goal at the beginning of the year to make an hour-long film. At first I tried to film a movie that I wrote, but due to COVID-19 and other reasons we weren’t able to finish it. So I got on my knees and prayed that I would be able to complete my goals.

“Later, a choir teacher told us that he was going to a different school, and the next concert would be our last with him. I felt impressed to ask if I could make a video for his last concert. He said I could make the video!

“Normally in school I have been super quiet, but through preparing this video I started growing socially and talking to more people. When the video was done, it was almost two hours long—which is kind of an editing nightmare! But it was worth the work because I had finally accomplished my goal and grown socially a lot.

“I can’t help but to see the Saviors hand in all of this.”

Wow. Thanks so much for sharing, Nathan! What a great goal-setting example.
