Can you tell the story from memory?

Here’s a Nativity refresher.

This video shows what some of the Christmas story might have been like.

  • The angel Gabriel told Mary about her role as the mother of Jesus (see Luke 1:26–38).
  • The angel also comforted and encouraged Joseph, Mary’s future husband and Jesus’s earthly father (see Matthew 1:20–21).
  • While Mary was pregnant, she and Joseph traveled from Nazareth to Bethlehem. Mary gave birth to Jesus, wrapped Him in swaddling clothes, and laid him in a manger because there was no room in the inn (see Luke 2:4–7).
  • Angels appeared to nearby shepherds, announcing that the Savior had been born. The shepherds hurried to see Jesus and then told others about that miraculous night (see Luke 2:8–18).
  • The Wise Men heard of Jesus’s birth and traveled far to see Him (see Matthew 2:1–2).

Rejoice! For unto you—and unto all of us—a Savior is born.
