Stretch Cotton is a garment designed to better meet members’ needs. It is 95% cotton and 5% spandex, with stretch polyester mesh panels for airflow where it’s needed most.

The fabrics were chosen to provide a comfortable, cool fit for members living around the world.

• Cotton is a natural fiber that is breathable and available in many areas of the world. Because it wicks away moisture well, it is especially useful for those living in hot climates.
• Spandex is added to provide a better fit. The stretch makes it more comfortable for a variety of body types.
• Polyester mesh panels are added to the sides of the tops and inside the legs of the bottoms. The small holes of the mesh increase breathability and coolness and ensure that the garment dries quickly.

Stretch Cotton tops have been designed with new, shorter sleeves for a better fit. Two top options, V-neck and lower crew, were created to reduce visibility beneath outerwear. The lower crew neckline is midway between the current crew and round neck options and provides a relaxed fit. It also stays hidden beneath traditional crew-neck T-shirts. The V-neck design fits more snugly than the lower crew. In addition, the brief has been redesigned to provide better support. The garment also features a tagless label, which makes the garment more comfortable and keeps the tag information readable longer.

The printed labels are designed to last approximately five years—well beyond the lifetime of the garment itself—under normal wash and wear conditions.

Cotton naturally shrinks, so this product will shrink slightly; however, most members report that the shrinkage is unnoticeable.

The garment should be formfitting but not tight. If the garment is worn too tight, the seams could tear. The hemline of the garment bottom is designed to fit just above the kneecap. If the garment is worn too short or tight, the hemlines may feel uncomfortable.

Stretch Cotton should be washed in warm or cool water and then line or tumble dried on low heat. Hot water and high heat can break down the spandex more quickly. Only use nonchlorinated bleach, as chlorinated bleach can make cotton and spandex fibers more brittle and discolored.

Sizes range from 2XS to 5XL in short, regular, and tall statures.

The men’s Stretch Cotton knee-length support brief, V-neck top, and lower crew top will initially be available to members in Canada and the U.S. By the end of 2019, they will be released to members in all other areas of the world.

Not everyone will prefer Stretch Cotton, as there are many different preferences for the fit and feel of fabric. However, Stretch Cotton has received favorable results from member wear tests in many areas of the world.

All garments are designed to last 50 washes, or approximately one year. Some garments may last longer than others, and personal preference usually dictates when to replace the garment.

Stretch Cotton is 95% cotton, which means it feels most like the Cotton-Poly or 100% Cotton garments. However, the spandex helps the garment fit closer to the body and makes the material more stretchy than the current cotton garments.

Yes, the maternity top is a chemise with gathers down both sides and no underbust seams. The gathers and stretch give a fit that is snug but still allows for growth. The bottom has a stretch mesh panel that accommodates a growing belly and is also designed to fit snugly. Because the Stretch Cotton maternity garments are designed to be snug, this garment gives a new option for pregnant sisters.

No, the Stretch Cotton nursing top is similar to the Cotton-Poly and DriSilque crossover style. The fit of the Stretch Cotton nursing top is snug but not tight, giving a new option for nursing sisters.

Yes, the hems feature a stretch mesh cuff to keep the garment comfortably in place. The yoga-style waistband has a ⅜" elastic band fully encased in a wide stretch mesh panel. This makes the waistband feel like it’s barely there for increased comfort.

No, the rise on the mid-calf garment bottom gives a natural waist fit.

Men’s Stretch Cotton garments will be available the first part of 2019.

Each discontinued style was carefully selected based on global sales and availability of other garments with similar features.

Discontinuing these selected styles will help ensure we can produce and sell new products globally that will meet members’ needs now and in the future.

A new fabric with an updated design for women will be available early next year. It is a four-way stretch cotton with no lace, providing a snug fit.

Extra Support garments, both white and military styles, were discontinued earlier in 2017 due to a problem with fabric quality and subsequent shortage.
