Facility Issue Reporting (FIR)

Introduction

Facility Issue Reporting (FIR) simplifies the interactions between facilities management offices and local ecclesiastical leaders. It enables leaders to submit, track progress of, and view details of facilities issues in their respective buildings. Facilities managers can easily provide updates to the leaders that they support through the application.

Access

Members of stake and ward councils are encouraged to use FIR to report facilities issues. You can access FIR through a web application using the following steps:

  1. In a web browser, go to www.lds.org.
  2. Sign in using your LDS Account.
  3. Under the My Account and Ward menu, select Facility Issue Reporting.

Also, a mobile app is available through the Google Play Store and Apple App Store. You can access FIR directly through the app installed on your mobile device.

Please note that stake and ward council members must be properly set up in the Member and Leader Services (MLS) system or Leader and Clerk Resources (LCR) to access FIR. Please contact your local clerk to verify your calling is properly identified in MLS or LCR.

FM Role

Facilities managers can view issues submitted through FIR in their work order management system. FIR issues are updated as work orders are opened, updated, and closed through the system. Resolution notes are sent to FIR. This allow local leaders to view comments made upon completion of a work order. Facilities management staff does not need to access FIR to update or track issues.

Support

Within the application, you can access the FAQ page that gives instructions on specific actions. Select the Help link from any screen on the application.

For additional questions, local unit leaders are encouraged to contact the Global Service Center for support. Please note that stake and ward council members must be properly set up in the Member and Leader Services (MLS) system in order to gain access to FIR. Please contact your local clerk to verify your calling is properly identified in MLS or LCR.

Facilities managers and their staff are encouraged to contact the Meetinghouse Facilities Department administrative support team for help with FIR.
