Moving Firewalls

When a meetinghouse internet firewall or access points are activated, they are associated with the meetinghouse property number in the Church Network Manager tool (CNM.ChurchofJesusChrist.org). If these devices are moved to a different property, they must be reassigned to the new property number.

Also, in a case where an activated firewall does not appear in Church Network Manager under the building at which it’s located, the firewall may have originally been activated against an unknown property. In this case, the firewall must also be reassigned to the correct property number.

Reassigning a Firewall to a New Building Location

The facilities manager or stake technology specialist should contact the Global Service Center and ask them to reassign the firewall to the new building location.

The following information will be needed:

  • Device serial number(s)
  • The new unit name, unit number, or property number where the firewall is to be moved to.

Once this is complete, the device serial number(s) will be associated with the correct property in Church Network Manager.
