Broadcasting Overview

A broadcast is an event produced by the Church that is transmitted through satellite or internet to locations across the world. Under the direction of the stake president, a technology specialist (TS) is responsible for using meetinghouse technology to receive such broadcasts in local church buildings and display them for the members.

Broadcast events include but are not limited to general conference, CES devotionals, temple dedications, and Face to Face devotionals.

TS RESPONSIBILITIES:

LEARN TECHNOLOGY

  • Be aware of all upcoming Church broadcasts listed on events.ChurchofJesusChrist.org.
  • Work with stake and ward leaders to determine which broadcasts they will be participating in.
  • Be aware of any accessibility needs that may be required during broadcasts.

FMG RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Ensure meetinghouses have all necessary equipment installed for Church broadcasts (satellite, networking equipment, audio systems, etc.).
  • Ensure all meetinghouse equipment is configured properly.
  • Repair and replace equipment as necessary.
