Meetinghouse Internet Filter Check

Last Updated: 28 August 2018 at 10:19

Ensuring that clerk computers go through an approved Meetinghouse Firewall and that filtering is working properly are important elements of a stake technology specialist's responsibilities. To assist you with this we have developed a simple Internet filter check. This check is also being added to the local unit audit checklist. To perform the filter check:

  1. Open web browser.
  2. Navigate to filter.lds.org.
  3. If the page displays a check mark or a "Filtered Content" page, the computer is going through an approved Meetinghouse Firewall and is filtering correctly.
  1. If the page displays an X or anything else besides a check mark or a "Filtered Content" page, the computer is not filtering correctly. Please try the following (a,b,c, and d), repeating steps one through three after each one.

a. Make sure the computer is connected to an approved Meetinghouse Firewall.

b. Make sure the computer is set to obtain the DNS server address automatically or to use 208.67.222.222 and 208.67.220.220 as the DNS server addresses.

c. Restart the Meetinghouse Firewall.

d. Contact the Connectivity Team at the Global Service Center (GSC).
