Date Released: 23 January 2013

New Features or Enhancements

  • Move membership records out of the unit. Wards and branches may now move membership records out of the unit for households or individuals.
  • Multiple membership record moves. Wards and branches may move multiple households at the same time to a new unit (for circumstances such as when there has been a ward boundary realignment).
  • New Finding Lost Members effort. LCR now supports the First Presidency-directed Finding Lost Members initiative when moving membership records out of the unit when the new address is not known.
  • Members Moved Out report. Wards and branches may now access a new report that provides a list of the members who have moved out of the ward or branch for up to 12 previous months.
  • Reorganizing households. Wards and branches may now restructure a household organization by grouping an existing household with a new household or changing existing household members.
  • Move restrictions. A move restriction that was initially placed by the unit may now be removed from a membership record by the bishop or by the clerk or assistant clerk assigned to membership with the bishop’s authorization. A new move restriction can also be added to a membership record by the bishop or clerkassigned to membership within the unit. Bishops were previously required to call the assigned administrative office to place or remove a move restriction.
  • Help content now delivered through the Record-Keeping and Technology Support (RKATS) website. Local priesthood leaders and clerks may now access training and support content for LCR through the Record-Keeping and Technology Support pages on LDS.org (the content is also available in LCR from the Help menu).
  • Mission executive secretaries in missions with ecclesiastical responsibility are now authorized to access LCR. See the Access Table within LCR for detailed access privileges.
  • The Members Moved In report has a new “Prior Unit” column that provides a link to the contact information for the leader of the prior unit.
  • Name formats (such as last name first or preferred names) in reports are now standardized across all reports in LCR.
  • A new “Records Moved In” date was added to the Member Profile page in the “Other Individual Information” section.

Issues Resolved

The following issues have been resolved:

  • Some Chinese-speaking units did not see the unit abbreviations in Chinese when viewing the Stake Quarterly Report.
  • When stakes and those missions with ecclesiastical responsibility viewed the Quarterly Report for reporting units, the report did not default to show the new quarter.
  • A member’s personal contact information was not always showing on the membership record.
  • Counselors in mission presidencies with ecclesiastical responsibility were unable to access the Tools menu on LDS.org.
  • The Birthday List was not showing the age the person would be on his or her birthday but rather the age at the time the report was reviewed.
  • Data was missing from the stake Unit Statistics report when printing two pages.

Release 1.10

Date Released: 18 October 2012

LCR 1.10 is a focused maintenance update that includes fixes for reported issues and some priesthood council directed enhancements.

For information on changes made in previous versions, please see the release notes archive in the Record-Keeping and Technology Support website at clerksupport.lds.org.

For detailed information on using LCR features, please also refer to the Record-Keeping and Technology Support website at clerksupport.lds.org

Additions

  • Membership > Forms > Officers Sustained: Allows stake and district leaders to fill out the Officers Sustained form for any ward or branch in the stake or district.
  • Reports > Organizations > Attendance Rolls: Shows accurate class member assignments for units using MLS 3.5 or newer.
  • Reports > Organizations > Attendance Rolls: Provides accurate class entry rolls using the “three dash line” indicator to show when a class member will enter the class (e.g., a deacon who turns 14 in March will join the teachers quorum that month but the roll list would show his prior months appearing with the “three-dash line” to indicate he wasn’t old enough yet to be in the class).

In addition, this release of LCR:

  • Provides access and support for members called as “Acting” unit leaders in stakes, districts, wards, and branches.
  • Clarifies the instructions for stake and district leaders submitting New Leader Recommendation forms (Membership > Forms > New Leader Recommendations). Outside the United States and Canada, the forms should be mailed to the Area Presidency for review.
  • Updates the Action and Interview List to reflect new missionary eligibility age changes announced in general conference in October 2012.
  • Supports users with multiple callings (e.g., a user who is a stake clerk and a ward clerk concurrently).
  • Adds a new “beta” environment in preparation planning and coordinating beta testing with selected stakes, districts, wards, and branches. Additional instructions will be distributed in the future regarding beta testing.

Fixes

  • Fixed a problem where the new Quarterly Report data was not appearing after the quarter changed.
  • Fixed an issue that occurred sometimes where move restrictions placed by Confidential Records were unexpectedly removed.
  • Fixed a problem in order to provide better interoperability with LDS.org and callings access authentication for Internet Explorer 8.
  • Fixed a problem where attendance rolls sometimes didn’t include older individuals.
  • Fixed a problem with the current attendance rolls in which they could be inaccurate in corner cases where a person has a birth date after the start of the quarter but before the first Sunday, or at the end of the quarter after the last Sunday.
  • Improved interoperability with CDOL and deprecated calling error messages.
