I sit on my bed

and put on my socks.

I sit on the riverbank

and toss across rocks.

I sit on the bus

That takes me to school.

I sit on the edge of

A blue swimming pool.

I sit on a branch

High up in a tree.

But the best place to sit

Is on Daddy’s knee.
