Where to Park

Parking is available in the Joseph Smith Memorial Building underground garage. The parking entrance is located on South Temple Street, between City Creek Center and the Joseph Smith Memorial Building. To access the garage, travel westbound on South Temple, enter the center ramp, and turn right at the bottom.

• Please Note: Parking is limited and not guaranteed. The garage fills quickly, particularly during peak hours and event seasons.
• Overnight Parking: Overnight parking is not permitted.
• Towing Enforced: Vehicles left in the garage overnight, abandoned, obstructing traffic, parked in unauthorized areas, or posing a safety or security risk will be towed at the vehicle owner’s expense.

Parking Hours and Rates

The Joseph Smith Memorial Building and its parking facility are open to the public Monday through Saturday from 8:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. Please exit the parking facility by 10:00 p.m. The building and parking facility are closed to the public on Sundays and holidays. Public hours are subject to change with or without notice.

• Validated Parking: 3-hour validated parking is available at the Joseph Smith Memorial Building Garden and Roof Restaurants and at private event locations for invited guests only. Validations only validate parking for the first 3 hours from when you enter the garage. Those parked longer than the 3-hour validation time will be required to pay the $25 parking rate. Only validations issued by the Joseph Smith Memorial Building are accepted.
• Important Information: Bring your parking entry ticket with you and be sure to request a validation.
• Parking Rate: $25 per day. There are no hourly rates or discounts. We only accept credit card payments.
• Lost Parking Entry Tickets: Those who lose their parking entry ticket will be required to pay the $25 parking rate.

Peak Season Advisory

• Parking demand is high during lunch and dinner hours and peaks in June, July, August, and December.
• We recommend arriving early to allow time for alternative parking if needed.
