What attire is recommended for this visit?
We are excited to welcome you to the global headquarters of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and Temple Square. There is no required dress code, and we want you to feel comfortable during your visit.
We recommend attire appropriate for a place of worship and comfortable shoes, as tours—and any additional experiences you may choose—will involve walking. Business attire is kindly requested for any meetings with Church leadership.
Where can I park to visit Temple Square?
We are pleased to offer free validated parking for visitors at the Joseph Smith Memorial Building, open Monday through Saturday from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. The building is located at 15 East South Temple Street, Salt Lake City, Utah 84150. Your host will meet you in the lobby unless a different meeting location has been arranged in advance.
If parking at the Joseph Smith Memorial Building is not available, visitors may be directed to nearby public parking locations, including:
- Church Office Building – 50 North Temple Street, Salt Lake City, Utah 84150
- Conference Center – 60 North Temple Street, Salt Lake City, Utah 84150
- City Creek Center – 50 South Main Street, Salt Lake City, Utah 84101 (multiple entrances)
Is photography and videography permitted?
Temple Square features beautiful gardens, inspiring architecture, and a peaceful, reverent atmosphere. Guests are welcome to take photos and videos in outdoor areas and at many historic locations where photography is permitted—these spaces offer wonderful opportunities to capture your visit.
In some areas and venues, photography and videography are not permitted. Please ask your host for clarification and permission as needed.
