Temple Square Event Guidelines

We are excited to welcome you to Temple Square for one of our events. This is our official guide for everything you need to know about events on Temple Square.

Accessibility Support

If you require accessible seating, translation support, closed captioning, assistance for the hard of hearing, or other services, please inform the guest services ushers upon arrival at your event.

Some wheelchair-accessible seating is available in all buildings. If you require wheelchair assistance, please inform the ticket office when you request your tickets or speak to an usher when you arrive at the event. Patrons who enter the building in a wheelchair will remain in their wheelchair for seating during the event.

Electronic Devices

Cell phones, tablets, and similar electronic devices are allowed during the event. Laptops are prohibited.

Food and Beverages

Food and beverages are not permitted in performance halls. Water is allowed in clear plastic water bottles only. Metal water bottles are prohibited.

General Conference Guidelines

If you have tickets to general conference, make sure to arrive on Temple Square early to find parking and find your seat. You should be in your seat 30 minutes before the start of the session. Doors open 90 minutes before the beginning of each session. Pay particular attention on Sunday morning, as you are required to be in your seat before the Music & the Spoken Word broadcast that runs prior to the opening session of conference.

Also make sure you are aware of what you can bring into the Conference Center so your experience runs smoothly. The only items allowed are clear plastic water bottles, umbrellas, and small handbags.

Language Interpretation

An interpretation device may be arranged for a specific event. If needed, please inform the guest services ushers when you arrive. To ensure you receive the best service, you may also contact the ticket office two weeks in advance.

Packages and Backpacks

Event venues will not be accepting or storing any personal items. Large bags, backpacks, and packages are prohibited. Small bags and purses will be allowed into the event but will be screened.

Parking and Public Transportation

Those who come to general conference are encouraged to use public transit. Anyone with a ticket to general conference will be able to use that ticket to ride UTA trains, buses, and light rail as they travel to and from conference. Those attending events should consider traffic congestion, plan to arrive early, and park in designated parking areas only. Visit Parking for Assembly Hall and Tabernacle Events, Parking for Conference Center Auditorium Events, and Parking for Conference Center Theater Events for additional parking information. See all Temple Square parking.
