What are congregations?

Congregations (we call them wards) are groups of Church members who live within a specific geographic area. In a congregation, you can make friends, feel a sense of belonging, and build a support network with others in your community. Swipe below to learn about different types of congregations.

General congregations

Anyone is welcome to attend a general congregation. In a general congregation, people of all ages serve together in the church community. Families, single adults, children, widows, and young married couples worship in the same meeting.

What’s it like to worship with our community congregation?

A quick tour can answer your questions

Hello neighbor! We’re giving tours of our community congregation. Just click to request a tour and a local member who attends with us will give you a brief look around the church building. They’ll let you know what happens there, including Sunday sermons, weekly activities, youth groups, community service projects, parties, and more.

Do I have to participate at church?
Visitors are welcome to participate, but they are not required to. When the bread and water of the sacrament (or Communion) is distributed to the congregation, if you don’t feel comfortable participating, simply pass the tray to the next person. Other than that, feel free to sit back and just enjoy the service.
Can I participate if I'm not a member?
Yes! You are invited to join us for weekly activities, social outings, service projects, and church services. We’d love to get to know you and will appreciate your involvement in the community.
What should I wear at church?
You’re welcome to come in any clothes you feel comfortable in. Most men wear button up shirts and ties, women typically wear dresses or skirts, and children usually dress up too.
How long are church services?
Each meeting is one hour. If you attend both meetings, you can expect services to be about two hours long.
