During the first session on Saturday, President Thomas S. Monson announced the locations of six new temples—Barranquilla, Columbia; Durban, South Africa; Kinshasa, Democratic Republic of Congo; Paris, France; Provo, Utah, USA; and Star Valley, Wyoming, USA.

Following this announcement, President Monson invited members to contribute to the newly created General Temple Patron Assistance Fund.

“This fund provides a one-time visit to the temple for those who are otherwise not able to go to the temple yet and who long desperately for that opportunity,” he said.

Saturday afternoon, Elder David A. Bednar of the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles announced a new section of youth.ChurchofJesusChrist.org—theFamilySearch Youth and Family History website.

The new site aims to help youth discover family history and serve their ancestors by seeking out their records.

Also during this session, Elder Claudio R. M. Costa was released from the Presidency of the Seventy. Sustained to the Presidency of the Seventy was Elder Tad R. Callister. Twelve seventies and area seventies were released.

During his talk Sunday morning, President Henry B. Eyring reminded individuals of the call—made during April general conference earlier this year—for all members to participate in a day of service during 2011.

President Monson closed the conference expressing thanks to all who participated and reminding members that he is mindful of each individual.

“We are one with you in moving this marvelous work,” he said. “I testify to you that we are all in this together, and that every man, woman, and child has a part to play. May God give us the strength and the ability and the determination to play our part well.”

Members around the world participated in the conference in 93 languages. Audio and video of conference are online now. Recordings of the broadcast will be available on DVD and CD shortly.
