Mack Wilberg, Music Director of the Mormon Tabernacle Choir, reveals in an in-depth interview, stories and details of the recordings released earlier this fall of the 2009 Christmas concert, It's the Most Wonderful Time of the Year, featuring Natalie Cole, the Choir, and the Orchestra at Temple Square.

This interview will air on Monday, October 18, at 3:05 p.m. Mountain Standard Time. Mormon Channel Radio is available at http://radio.churchofjesuschrist.org. The interview with Mack Wilberg can be listened to or downloaded in mp3 format.

The program on the Mormon Channel Radio is the first in a new periodic series entitled Mormon Tabernacle Choir Premieres which will feature discussions about new releases on the Choir's own recording label.

While Brother Wilberg is renowned for his arrangements and conducting, his insight into shaping a program like the annual Christmas concert is both captivating and engaging. The one-hour interview reviews the new CD track-by-track and samples of the songs are played intermittently during the discussion. Also highlighted by Brother Wilberg are the DVD and the concert's companion book, In the Dark Streets Shineth, released this month by renowned Pulitzer Prize winning historian and last year's popular guest artist, David McCullough.
