The First Presidency has called the following 16 new temple presidents and matrons.

Spokane Washington Temple

Steven L. and Julia A. Bates

Steven Lynn Bates, 69, Chewelah Ward, Colville Washington Stake, called as president of the Spokane Washington Temple, succeeding President Gary G. Ely. President Bates’s wife, Julia Ann Anglesey Bates, will serve as temple matron, succeeding Sister Phyllis M. Ely. Brother Bates is a temple worker. He served as president of the Arizona Tempe Mission, stake president, bishop, high councilor, and branch president. Dentist. Born in Coeur d’ Alene, Idaho, to Charles Ray and Erma Irene Bates.

Sister Bates is a stake indexing coordinator and temple ordinance worker. She served with her husband as he presided over the Arizona Tempe Mission and served as stake Primary presidency counselor, ward Relief Society president, ward Primary presidency counselor, and stake family history consultant. Born in Rigby, Idaho, to Wendell Owen and Nada Elizabeth Packer Anglesey.

Rexburg Idaho Temple

Fenton L. and Carol J. Broadhead

Fenton Lynn Broadhead, 67, Lyman 3rd Ward, Rexburg Idaho South Stake, called as president of the Rexburg Idaho Temple, succeeding President Philip C. Wightman. President Broadhead’s wife, Carol Ann Jackson Broadhead, will serve as temple matron, succeeding Sister Patsy W. Wightman. He is a patriarch and temple sealer. He served as president of the Brazil São Paulo North Mission, stake president, bishop, and Church welfare regional chairman. Retired vice president of BYU–Idaho. Born in Payson, Utah, to Elmer Robert and Anna Else Rasmussen Broadhead.

Sister Broadhead is a Sunday School teacher. She served with her husband as he presided over the Brazil São Paulo North Mission and served as stake Relief Society president, ward Young Women and Primary president, and Relief Society teacher. Born in Payson, Utah, to Worthen Dale and Iris Noreen Cooper Jackson.

Montreal Quebec Temple

Danielle D. and Michel J. Carter

Michel Joseph Jules Carter, 62, Granby Branch, Longueuil Quebec Stake, called as president of the Montreal Quebec Temple, succeeding President Luc Salm. President Carter’s wife, Danielle Delisle Carter, will serve as temple matron, succeeding Sister Marie-France G. Salm. Brother Carter serves as a branch president. He served as president of the France Toulouse Mission, stake president, bishop, high councilor, branch president, and senior missionary with his wife. Retired president and CEO of COGECO Radio-Television, Inc. Born in Drummondville, Quebec, to Marcel A. Carter and Georgette Boucher Carter.

Sister Carter is a Sunday School teacher. She served with her husband as he presided over the France Toulouse Mission and served as a stake Relief Society presidency counselor, ward Relief Society and Young Women president, senior missionary with her husband, and seminary teacher. Born in Chibougamau, Quebec, to Jacques Delisle and Marie Cecile Rolande Hebert.

Monterrey Mexico Temple

Ralph N. and Teresa T. Christensen

Ralph Neil Christensen, 64, Elk Hollow Ward, North Salt Lake Utah Stake, called as president of the Monterrey Mexico Temple, succeeding President Juan Alvaradejo Redondas. President Christensen’s wife, Teresa Tibbitts Christensen, will serve as temple matron, succeeding Sister Rosa H. de Alvaradejo. He is a Sunday School teacher. He served as president of the México Puebla North Mission, stake president, bishop, and high councilor. Retired managing director of Human Resources for the Church. Born in American Falls, Idaho, to Lynn J. and Ruth Arlene Abbott Christensen.

Sister Christensen is a Young Women assistant adviser. She served with her husband as he presided over the México Puebla North Mission and served as stake and ward Relief Society president, stake and ward Young Women president, and stake Primary presidency counselor. Born in Idaho Falls, Idaho, to Keith Edwin and Olive Lucile Tibbitts.

Ciudad Juárez Mexico Temple

Darwin R. and Angelica Z. Jensen

Darwin R. Jensen, 67, El Paso 1st Ward, El Paso Texas Chamizal Stake, called as president of the Ciudad Juárez Mexico Temple, succeeding President Lorenzo Macías Peréz. President Jensen’s wife, Angelica Zúniga Jensen, will serve as temple matron, succeeding Sister Adela V. Macías. He is first counselor in the Ciudad Juárez Mexico Temple presidency. He served as stake president, bishop, welfare regional chairman, and high councilor. Manager of transmission design. Born in Rupert, Idaho, to Jack Leonard Jensen Sr. and Selena Julia Jensen.

Sister Jensen is an assistant to the matron of the Ciudad Juárez Mexico Temple. She served as stake Young Women presidency counselor, ward Relief Society presidency counselor, ward Primary president, and ward family history consultant. Born in Monclova, Coahuila, Mexico, to José Bautista and María Iruegas Zúniga.

Aba Nigeria Temple

John E. and Christiana I. Kosin

John Edafe Kosin, 59, Ugbor Ward, Benin City Nigeria Ikpokpan Stake, called as president of the Aba Nigeria Temple, succeeding President John A. Ihenkoro. President Kosin’s wife, Christiana Chuko Igbigbi Kosin, will serve as temple matron, succeeding Sister Ada B. Ihenkoro. Brother Kosin is a ward self-reliance specialist. He served as president of the Nigeria Calabar Mission, district president, bishop, and branch president. Manager of finance and accounts. Born in Kokori, Delta State, Nigeria, to Kosin Samuel Onofekohwo and Ititi Ayewanma Emagege.

Sister Kosin is a ward self-reliance specialist. She served with her husband as he presided over the Nigeria Calabar Mission and served as district Relief Society and Young Women presidency counselor and Sunday School teacher. Nuku’alofa Tonga Temple

Sister Langi is an assistant to the matron at the Nuku’alofa Tonga Temple. She served as stake Relief Society, Young Women, and Primary president. Born in ‘Otea, Vava’u, Tonga, to Tevita Puletau Ahoafi and ‘Atileti Pelenaise Cook Vehikite.

Raleigh North Carolina Temple

Kerry L. and Ann J. Lee

Kerry Lamont Lee, 74, Chapel Hill 1st Ward, Durham North Carolina Stake, called as president of the Raleigh North Carolina Temple, succeeding President John C. Taggart. President Lee’s wife, Ann Jones Lee, will serve as temple matron, succeeding Sister Marilyn Taggart. Brother Lee is first counselor in the Raleigh North Carolina Temple presidency. He served as stake president, patriarch, bishop, and high councilor. Professor of biostatistics at Duke University. Born in Idaho Falls, Idaho, to Andrew Wells and Maida Christina Heileson Lee.

Sister Lee is an assistant to the matron of the Raleigh North Carolina Temple. She served as stake Young Women presidency counselor, ward Relief Society president, ward Young Women and Primary presidency counselor, and temple worker. Born in Rigby, Idaho, to Lawrence Irvin and Grace Cumorah Rhodes Jones.

Provo Utah Temple

Marsha T. and Donald H. Livingstone

Donald Hugh Livingstone, 73, Riverside Ward, Provo Utah Edgemont Stake, called as president of the Provo Utah Temple, succeeding President Alan C. Ashton. President Livingstone’s wife, Marsha Lou Thompson Livingstone, will serve as temple matron, succeeding Sister Karen J. Ashton. Brother Ashton is first counselor in the Provo Utah Temple presidency. He served as president of the Democratic Republic of the Congo Kinshasa Mission, stake presidency counselor, bishop, high councilor, and senior missionary with his wife. Retired professor of accounting. Born in Lethbridge, Alberta, to Robert Donald and Merne Livingstone.

Sister Livingstone is an assistant to the matron of the Provo Utah Temple. She served with her husband as he presided over the Democratic Republic of the Congo Kinshasa Mission and served as stake and ward Relief Society and Young Women president, ward Primary president, and senior missionary with her husband. Born in Warsaw, Indiana, to William Howard and Ann Esplin Thompson.

Guadalajara Mexico Temple

María D. and Ismael Mendoza Regino

Ismael Mendoza Regino, 61, Real de Minas Ward, Pachuca Mexico Centro Stake, called as president of the Guadalajara Mexico Temple, succeeding President Gilberto Cerda. President Mendoza’s wife, María del Socorro Delgado de Mendoza, will serve as temple matron, succeeding Sister Bertha Cerda. He served as an Area Seventy, president of the Bolivia La Paz Mission, stake president, bishopric counselor, and high councilor. Retired institute director of the Church Educational System. Born in Santiago Tezontlale, Hidalgo, Mexico, to Pablo Mendoza Hernández and Eva de Mendoza Regino.

Sister Mendoza served with her husband as he presided over the Bolivia La Paz Mission. She served as ward Relief Society and Primary president and Gospel Doctrine teacher. Born in La Pinta, Chihuahua, Mexico, to José Socorro Delgado García and Clara Luz de Delgado Erives.

Rolf Ingvar Olsson, 67, Handen Ward, Stockholm Sweden South Stake, called as president of the Copenhagen Denmark Temple, succeeding President H. James Williams. President Olsson’s wife, Barbro Anita Kristina Kjell Olsson, will serve as temple matron, succeeding Sister Janet C. Williams. He is a stake self-reliance specialist. He served as an Area Seventy, stake president, bishop, regional representative, high councilor, area family history adviser, and temple worker. Retired temple recorder of the Stockholm Sweden Temple. Santo Domingo Dominican Republic Temple
