New Presidents Called for Missions in the U.S., South America, Mexico, and the Philippines

Eight new mission presidents and their wives have been called by the First Presidency. They will begin their service in July.

Idaho Boise Mission

Diana and Randall D. Bartlett

Randall David Bartlett, 62, and Diana LeSueur Bartlett, six children, Lakeview Ward, Omaha Nebraska Stake: Idaho Boise Mission, succeeding President John Winder and Sister Arliss Winder. Brother Bartlett serves as a mission presidency counselor and is a former stake president, stake presidency counselor, bishop, high councilor, and missionary in the California North Mission. Self-employed business owner. Born in Omaha, Nebraska, to Kenneth Leroy John Bartlett and Lorraine Jean Lisec Bartlett.

Sister Bartlett serves as a family history consultant and is a former stake Relief Society and Primary presidency counselor, ward Relief Society and Primary president, ward Young Women presidency counselor, and Gospel Doctrine teacher. Born in Los Angeles, California, to John Taylor LeSueur and Dolores Clift LeSueur.

 
 
Philippines Iloilo Mission

Hermenegildo and Emily Cruz

Hermenegildo Inocencio Cruz, 56, and Emily Ibuyan Loresco Cruz, five children, Springville Ward, Las Piñas Philippines Stake: Philippines Iloilo Mission, succeeding President Jaime R. Aquino and Sister Lorna Aquino. Brother Cruz serves as an MTC branch president and is a former bishop, high councilor, regional welfare agent, stake Sunday School president, and missionary in the Phillippines Cebu Mission. Coordinator, Seminaries and Institutes. Born in Naga City, Philippines, to Rodolfo Francisco Cruz and Elena Garcia Inocencio Cruz.

Sister Cruz serves with her husband in an MTC branch and is a former stake Primary president, stake Relief Society presidency counselor, ward Relief Society president, ward Primary presidency counselor, and Relief Society teacher. Born in Kalibo Aklan, Philippines, to Alberto Fino Loresco and Teresita Isidro Ibuyan Loresco.

Chile Santiago Mission

Stephanie and Douglas J. Gwilliam

Douglas James Gwilliam, 63, and Stephanie Baldwin Gwilliam, four children, Olivenhain Ward, Del Mar California Stake: Chile Santiago South Mission, succeeding President David L. Cook and Sister Kathleen Cook. Brother Gwilliam is a former mission presidency counselor, bishop, branch president, high councilor, seminary and institute teacher, and missionary in the Guatemala El Salvador Mission. Retired president, CBIZ. Born in San Diego, California, to James Russell Gwilliam and Betty Lou Glover Gwilliam.

Sister Gwilliam serves as a Young Women adviser and temple ordinance worker and is a former stake Relief Society president, ward Relief Society and Young Women president, and Primary teacher. Born in Oldham, England, to Kenneth Briggs Baldwin and Brenda Millard Baldwin.

Brazil Santa Maria Mission

Andréa and Marcelo Louza

Marcelo Fabiano Machado Louza, 48, and Andréa Philippeli Louza, two children, Baeta Neves Ward, São Bernardo Brazil Stake: Brazil Santa Maria Mission, succeeding President Adalton P. Parrela and Sister Delgia Parrela. Brother Louza serves in a stake presidency and is a former stake presidency counselor, high councilor, and missionary in the Portugal Lisbon Mission. Coordinator, Seminaries and Institutes. Born in São Paulo, Brazil, to Waldir Louza and Doraci Fernandes Machado Louza.

Sister Louza is a former stake Young Women presidency counselor, ward Young Women president, and ward Primary president. Born in São Paulo, Brazil, to Olivio Miliosi Philippelli and Sumara Aparecida Ferreira Philippelli.

Kansas Wichita Mission

Mitchell D. and Pamela McCuistion

Mitchell Dean McCuistion, 56, and Pamela Hakes McCuistion, six children, Timpview 8th Ward, Orem Utah Timpview Stake: Kansas Wichita Mission, succeeding President Michael L. Bell and Sister Connie Bell. Brother McCuistion is a former bishop, high councilor, stake Young Men president, Gospel Doctrine teacher, and missionary in the Scotland Edinburgh Mission. Owner, Mitchell Dean LLC. Born in San Bernardino, California, to Horace David McCuistion and Ruth Irene Wells McCuistion.

Sister McCuistion serves as a ward Primary presidency counselor and is a former ward Relief Society, Young Women, and Primary president, ward Relief Society and Young Women presidency counselor, and Sunday School teacher. Born in Florence, Arizona, to Clayton H. Hakes and Kathleen Turley Hakes.

Pennsylvania Philadelphia Mission

Christopher L. and Amy Randall

Christopher Lloyd Randall, 49, and Amy Castleton Randall, six children, Pleasant View 1st Ward, Provo Utah Sharon East Stake: Pennsylvania Philadelphia Mission, succeeding President T. Gary Anderson and Sister Pamela S. Anderson. Brother Randall serves as a stake president and is a former stake presidency counselor, bishop, bishopric counselor, ward Young Men presidency counselor, and missionary in the California Anaheim Mission. Sister Randall serves as a Relief Society teacher and is a former ward Young Women and Primary presidency counselor, ward enrichment leader, Relief Society teacher, and Gospel Doctrine teacher. Born in Salt Lake City to Paul Wallace Castleton and Ann Pingree Castleton.

Utah St. George Mission

D. Zackary and Sharon H. Smith 

 

Danial Zackary Smith, 61, and Sharon Eunice Hyslop Smith, seven children, Visalia 3rd Ward, Visalia California Stake: Utah St. George Mission, succeeding President John R. Center and Sister Kristin Center. Brother Smith serves as an Area Seventy and is a former stake president, bishop, high councilor, ward Young Men president, area public affairs director, and missionary in the Canada Ontario Mission. Sister Smith is a former stake Young Women president, ward Young Women president, stake seminary supervisor, and seminary and institute teacher. Born in Covina, California, to Jack Stewart Hyslop and Virginia Lee Lessley Hyslop.

México México City Chalco Mission

Francisco and Maria Esther Zapata

Francisco Zapata Orozco, 60, and Maria Esther Marin de Zapata, five children, Victoria Ward, Monterrey México Libertad Stake: México México City Chalco Mission, succeeding President Jerald D. Crickmore and Sister Janna Crickmore. Brother Zapata serves as an area family history adviser and is a former stake president, stake presidency counselor, bishop, high priests group leader, and missionary in the México Hermosillo Mission. Sister Zapata is a former ward Relief Society president, ward Young Women presidency counselor, area family history center director, FamilySearch missionary, and seminary teacher. Born in Monterrey, México, to Adolfo Marin and Maria Cristina Olivo.
