“My Family” Booklet Now Available in 42 Languages

Starting family history work is easier than ever for members worldwide with the My Family: Stories That Bring Us Together booklet now available in 42 languages.
The Church-produced booklet—available in print and online at FamilySearch.org—simplifies the “find, take, teach” process of family history.
Find, take, and teach
The My Family booklet makes it easy for you to find and record valuable information about your ancestors, enter it into FamilySearch.org, and then take names to the temple for ordinance work. The booklet also helps you teach others about family history work.
You can find the My Family booklet on FamilySearch.org. Select the language tab at the bottom of the screen for language options. Order printed copies in most of these languages through FamilySearch.org or store.ChurchofJesusChrist.org.
Find
The My Family: Stories That Bring Us Together booklet is now available in 42 languages.
Take a printed booklet with you when visiting relatives or others who may remember your ancestors, or use it to help them record their family information.
The booklet is an easily accessible place to collect and save information from resources such as existing genealogy and public records. It is also a good place to record stories and memories from family members who remember ancestors.
Consider taking a printed booklet with you when visiting relatives or members in locations where the Internet isn’t readily available, or to help others preserve their information.
Take
Once you have entered family names and information into FamilySearch.org, confirm that there is enough information in the records to qualify the names for temple ordinances. Then print out temple ordinance cards to take to the temple for ordinance work.
Teach
Members have an opportunity and obligation to help others receive the blessings of this great work. Try to share your family history experiences with others and testify of its importance.
Consider using the My Family booklet in a family history class, during family home evenings, to present memories and stories to an older relative, or when visiting places where your ancestors once lived.
Using the booklet
The My Family booklet contains sections for you to write about yourself and then record the names and information of immediate family members, grandparents, great-grandparents, and their children. Include names, important dates, photos, stories, and memories about them.
Track when you have added that ancestor to FamilySearch.org and completed temple work for him or her. Completing the quick-reference family tree toward the end of the booklet can help you keep track of family relationships. A unique element in the booklet is a place for you to record any thoughts or feelings you may have experienced while doing family history work.
Blessings of family history work
