MTC Presidents Called to Colombia, South Africa, England, and More

Missionaries in the Ghana MTC in Accra. Elder Neil L. Andersen and Elder Ulisses Soares traveled throughout the Africa West Area from May 19 to 28, 2018.

The following new mission presidents and their wives have been called by the First Presidency. They will begin their service in January of 2020. Biographies of other mission presidency couples will be published throughout 2019 on news.ChurchofJesusChrist.org.

Colombia MTC

Roger G. Christensen, 65, and Christine C. Christensen, 11 children, Bluffdale 12th Ward, Bluffdale Utah Stake: Colombia Missionary Training Center, succeeding President Brian B. Carmack and Sister Leslie K. Carmack. Brother Christensen is a patriarch and temple ordinance worker and a former Ecuador Quito Mission president, stake president, high councilor, bishopric counselor, branch president, and missionary in the Ecuador Mission. He was born in Salt Lake City to Sheron Glen Christensen and Colleen Cloward Christensen. 

Sister Christensen is a scribe to the patriarch and temple ordinance worker and a former mission president companion, stake Relief Society presidency counselor, ward Relief Society presidency secretary, ward Young Women president, ward Young Women camp director, Primary teacher, and gospel doctrine teacher. She was born in Twin Falls, Idaho, to Simon Lind Baker and Marjorie Cecilia Lewis Baker.

Ghana MTC

Paul W. Craig, 63, and Nadine Craig, four children, Foxhill Ward, North Salt Lake Utah Stake: Ghana Missionary Training Center, succeeding President Rex J. Allen and Sister Nancy Allen. Brother Craig is a high councilor and former president of the Florida Jacksonville Mission, bishop, bishopric counselor, Young Men adviser, and missionary in the Belgium Brussels Mission. He was born in Great Lakes, Illinois, to Harris Olene Craig and Rada Joyce Harris Craig.  

Sister Craig is a ward young single adult adviser and former mission president companion, ward Young Women president and presidency counselor, Sunday School teacher, and institute teacher. She was born in Salt Lake City to Junior David Call and Dawn Davis Call.

South Africa MTC

Raymon D. Foote, 59, and Cindy Foote, seven children, River Bend Ward, Reno Nevada Stake: South Africa Missionary Training Center, succeeding President Andre C. Bester and Sister Joy E. Bester. Brother Foote is a service mission leader and is a former Madagascar Antananarivo Mission president, stake president, bishop, Young Men adviser, seminary teacher, and missionary in the France Paris Mission. He was born in Reno, Nevada, to Wilford Darrell Foote and Barbara Anne Foote. 

Sister Foote is a service mission leader and a former mission president companion, stake and ward Primary president, stake Primary presidency counselor, Primary teacher, and Sunday School teacher. She was born in Las Vegas, Nevada, to Myron E. Leavitt and Shirley Joice Leavitt.

England MTC

Creg D. Ostler, 62, and Sondra D. Ostler, seven children, Northridge Ward, Mesa Arizona Hermosa Vista Stake: England Missionary Training Center, succeeding President Thomas R. Warne and Sister Renae K. Warne. Brother Ostler is an institute teacher and a former Philippines Manila Mission president, mission presidency counselor, stake president, stake mission president, bishop, bishopric counselor, and missionary in the Austria Vienna Mission. He was born in Los Angeles, California, to C. Donald Ostler and Vivian Marie Ostler.

Sister Ostler is an institute teacher and a former mission president companion, stake Primary presidency counselor, ward Relief Society presidency counselor, and ward Young Women and Primary president. She was born in Salt Lake City to Leon Alfred Davies and Marilyn Kay Ward Davies.

Brazil MTC

Craig B. Terry, 68, and Candice Terry, three children, American Fork 23rd Ward, American Fork Utah Hillcrest Stake: Brazil Missionary Training Center, succeeding President César A. S. Milder and Sister Daisy Milder. Brother Terry is a temple sealer and a former Area Seventy, Portugal Lisbon Mission president, stake president, stake presidency counselor, bishopric counselor, branch presidency counselor, ward Young Men presidency counselor, and missionary in the Brazil Central Mission. He was born in American Fork, Utah, to Ladell Ellis Terry and Margie Beckstead Terry.

Sister Terry is a former mission president companion, stake Relief Society and Young Women president, stake and ward Young Women presidency counselor, ward single adult adviser, and temple office volunteer. She was born in Las Vegas, Nevada, to Lyle Weeks Overlade and Merial Perkins Overlade.

Perú MTC

Terry L. Wade, 64, and Gina Wade, six children, Washington Fields Fourth Ward, St. George Utah Washington Fields Stake: Perú Missionary Training Center, succeeding President R. Spence Ellsworth and Sister Laurie Ellsworth. Brother Wade is a temple sealer and institute teacher and a former Area Seventy, Paraguay Asunción North Mission president, stake president, bishop, ward Young Men president, Scoutmaster, and missionary in the Colombia Bogota Mission. He was born in Alva, Oklahoma, to Arnold L. Wade and Shirley A. Armstrong.

Sister Wade is a stake Relief Society president and a former mission president companion, stake and ward Young Women presidency counselor, stake Young Women camp director, and Relief Society teacher. She was born in Idaho Falls, Idaho, to Robert I. Green and Glenda Rammell.
