Ground Broken for the Puebla Mexico Temple, Mexico’s 14th Temple

Church and community leaders gathered for the groundbreaking ceremony of the Puebla Mexico Temple on Saturday, November 30.

Elder Arnulfo Valenzuela, a General Authority Seventy and President of the Mexico Area, presided at the event. His counselors, Elder Rafael E. Pino and Elder John C. Pingree Jr., also attended.

President Russell M. Nelson announced the Puebla Mexico Temple in the October 2018 general conference, along with 11 other temples. The temple in Puebla will be the 14th in Mexico, which has more than 1.4 million Church members in over 1,800 congregations.

The Church currently has 217 temples around the globe that are operating, are undergoing construction or renovation, or have been announced.
