Elder Richard G. Scott Released from the Hospital
Elder Richard G. Scott was released Tuesday from the hospital after being hospitalized last Thursday with gastrointestinal bleeding. He and Elder L. Tom Perry, who was diagnosed last week with thyroid cancer, are both recuperating at home.
Two members of the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles are recuperating at home after spending time in the hospital last week.
According to a press release on MormonNewsroom.org, Elder Richard G. Scott was released Tuesday from the hospital after being hospitalized last Thursday with gastrointestinal bleeding. The 86-year-old apostle is recuperating at home.
Elder L. Tom Perry, who last week was diagnosed with thyroid cancer, remains at home where he is receiving General Authority visitors, conducting Church business, and receiving medical care.
The 92-year-old apostle spent time in the hospital on Wednesday due to breathing problems but was released the same day. He began radiation treatment on Friday.
