Elder Lowell M. Snow

Second Quorum of the Seventy 2005-2011

Elder Lowell M. Snow was called to serve as a member of the Second Quorum of the Seventy of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints on April 2, 2005, at age 61. He was called as an Area Authority Seventy in the Utah North Area and a member of the Fifth Quorum of the Seventy of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints on April 3, 2004. He served in the Africa West Area Presidency (2005-2009) and as President for three years. He then served as assistant executive director in the Missionary Department.

Elder Snow received a Bachelor of Science degree in zoology/chemistry from Brigham Young University in 1969; a Master’s degree in guidance counseling from Wayne State University in 1972; and a Juris Doctorate degree in law from the University of Utah in 1975. His professional career has been as an attorney and a legal consultant.

Over the years, Elder Snow has served in numerous Church callings, including full-time missionary in West Germany, bishop, stake president’s counselor, member of the Young Men General Board, president of the Mississippi Jackson Mission (1982-1985), president of the Utah Salt Lake City Temple Square Mission (1997-1999), and director of Church Hosting.

Lowell Miller Snow was born in St. George, Utah on January 2, 1944. He married Tamara Ann Means in September 1966. They are the parents of five children and they have nineteen grandchildren.
