Music of Remembrance

    Forrest Howell enjoys a diverse career as a solo performer, collaborative musician, researcher, and pedagogue. He has performed in solo and collaborative recitals in Brazil, California, Washington, Arizona, Washington D.C., and across the entire state of Utah. He has been invited for concerto performances with the BYU Philharmonic Orchestra, Symphony Orchestra, and University Orchestra.

    A passionate pedagogy researcher, Forrest has led research projects focused on famous pedagogues, pedagogy in other countries, and on cognitive learning theories. He has been selected as a presenter several times at the Collegiate Piano Pedagogy Symposium. Most recently, his presentations on sensory stimuli and mindfulness meditation were selected as “Best of the Symposium”, being selected as special additions at national MTNA conferences in Orlando, Florida and Spokane, Washington.
