- Rededication: May 19
The renovated Oklahoma City Oklahoma Temple of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints will be rededicated on Sunday, May 19, 2019.
President Henry B. Eyring, Second Counselor in the First Presidency of the Church, will preside over the rededication session, which will be by invitation only. The temple rededication session will not be broadcast to local meetinghouses, so the two-hour block of Sunday meetings will be held as planned.
Plans to construct the temple, located at 12030 N Mustang Road in Yukon, Oklahoma, were announced March 14, 1999, and Church leaders broke ground July 3, 1999. President James E. Faust dedicated the Oklahoma City Oklahoma Temple July 30, 2000. The temple serves Latter-day Saints in Oklahoma, Kansas, Arkansas, and Missouri.
The temple will be open for ordinances on Saturday, May 25.
