Baton Rouge Louisiana Temple Rededication

The Baton Rouge Louisiana Temple of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints will be rededicated on Sunday, November 17, 2019.
Elder Quentin L. Cook of the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles will preside over the single rededicatory session on Sunday, November 17, 2019, which will not be broadcast. The temple will open for ordinances on Saturday, November 23.
The temple, located at 10339 Highland Road in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, closed for renovation in February 2018.
Plans to construct the temple were announced October 14, 1998, Church leaders broke ground May 8, 1999, and Gordon B. Hinckley, President of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints from 1995 to 2008, dedicated the Baton Rouge Louisiana Temple on July 16, 2000.
The exterior of the 10,700-square-foot temple is Imperial Danby white marble.
The temple serves Latter-day Saints in Louisiana and Mississippi.
