The Baton Rouge Louisiana Temple of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints will open for free public tours from October 26, 2019, through November 2, 2019, except for Sunday, October 27.

Open house tours and activities are hosted daily (except for Sunday). On Monday through Thursday, tours are available from 2:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., and Friday through Saturday, tours go from 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. No reservations or tickets are needed.

Elder Quentin L. Cook of the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles will preside over the single rededicatory session on Sunday, November 17, 2019. The temple will open for ordinances on Saturday, November 23.

The temple, located at 10339 Highland Road in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, closed for extensive renovation in February 2018.

Plans to construct the temple were announced October 14, 1998, Church leaders broke ground May 8, 1999, and Gordon B. Hinckley, President of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints from 1995 to 2008, dedicated the Baton Rouge Louisiana Temple July 16, 2000.

The exterior of the 10,700-square-foot temple is Imperial Danby white marble.

The temple serves Latter-day Saints in Louisiana and Mississippi.
