Yvonne Hubert

Young Women Council

Sister Yvonne Hubert was born in Bethesda, Maryland, in a navy family. She is the eighth of nine children and has seven sisters and one brother. She grew up with a profound love for music, and she majored in flute performance and pedagogy at BYU. After college, she shared her love of music with others as a flute teacher for 25 years. As a young woman, she served a mission in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, where she developed a deep love of the Lord, service, study, and the Book of Mormon.

Prior to her call to serve on the Young Women general advisory council, Yvonne has served as a youth Sunday School teacher, Young Women president and camp director, and Primary president and teacher.

Yvonne married Wayne Hubert from Cape Town, South Africa, in the Salt Lake Temple. Together they have four children and love doting on their beautiful grandchildren. Yvonne loves the outdoors: biking, snowboarding, wakeboarding, gardening, and anything active. Her greatest happiness comes from her family and sharing the joy she feels in the gospel and her love of the Savior.
