Ruth Todd

Young Women Council

Ruth Todd was born in Safford, Arizona, to Charles and Ann Jones and grew up in the Scottsdale Arizona Stake. She earned both a bachelor of arts and an MBA from Brigham Young University. She and her husband, Bryan, are the parents of five children and love spoiling their grandchildren.

Ruth worked for 25 years as a television news anchor and reporter throughout the United States. She also taught broadcast journalism at BYU and served as a Church spokesperson and a member of the media team for the Church’s Public Affairs Department. She is currently senior vice president of global public affairs for a health and wellness company. Ruth serves on several community boards and is a host for The Tabernacle Choir at Temple Square’s weekly broadcast, Music & the Spoken Word. She has served as a stake Young Women president, counselor in Young Women and Relief Society presidencies, Gospel Doctrine teacher, and stake girls’ camp director.
