When all of our priesthood, Young Women, and Relief Society instructors leave Sunday School for a teacher council meeting, there are very few people left in the Gospel Doctrine class. What should we do?

As the ward council seeks a solution to this problem, the following options might be helpful:

    • Continue to hold the Gospel Doctrine class, even if only a few people are present. Meaningful discussions about the scriptures can still take place in a small group.
    • One Sunday a month, combine the Gospel Doctrine class with another Sunday School class, such as the Gospel Principles class or a youth class.
    • Invite the few people remaining in the Gospel Doctrine class to join the teacher council meeting.
    • Hold two teacher council meetings each month; invite half of the participants to attend each week, while the other half attends the Gospel Doctrine class.
