General Conference, October 6–7, 2012
We invite all members of the Church to participate in the 182nd Semiannual General Conference, which will convene in Salt Lake City, Utah, on Saturday and Sunday, October 6–7, 2012. Messages of inspiration and guidance will be delivered by the First Presidency, members of the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles, and other General Authorities and general officers of the Church.
The enclosed materials include broadcast information for the Church satellite system, the Internet, and other media. This information is also available online at broadcastinfo.ChurchofJesusChrist.org.
We encourage all members to listen to and follow the counsel given during the general conference.

Program start times are listed in mountain daylight time (MDT) and Coordinated Universal Time (UTC). MDT is the time in Salt Lake City, Utah, with daylight saving time (or summer time) in effect. UTC is the international time standard. You will need to calculate your local viewing times based on MDT or UTC.
Please select the viewing times that best serve the members in your area. You may write the dates and times on the Satellite Program Information for the Stake Technology Specialist, located after this schedule, if you choose. The general conference sessions, the general Relief Society meeting, and The World Report of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints may be recorded and then viewed at another time.

Closed-Captioning

Other Distribution
DVD or MP4
Outside the United States and Canada, recordings of the conference sessions will be available through the assigned administrative office to units that do not receive satellite or Internet broadcasts. Leaders should arrange to show the recordings to these units. Please check with the assigned administrative office for available languages.
- American Sign Language (ASL) is available only in the United States and Canada. ASL broadcasts focus on the signer, with the speakers from the meeting being displayed in a small window on the screen. English audio is broadcast along with ASL. If you need to start receiving ASL, please contact your facilities management group at least two weeks before the broadcast; additional equipment may be required.
- The priesthood session will be available on the Internet through a secure web page that requires a password. To request information about viewing the priesthood session on the Internet in American Sign Language, English, French, Portuguese (Brazil), or Spanish, e‑mail streamingsupport@ChurchofJesusChrist.org. Please include your name, your calling, your unit name (area, stake, mission, or district), the event you are requesting information for, and the languages you need. Information will be sent only to members of area, stake, mission, or district presidencies.

Equipment Information
Satellite receivers are preprogrammed. No adjustments are necessary. Languages are preprogrammed in the receivers.
For general information about setting up equipment for a broadcast, refer to the General Satellite Program Instructions for the Stake Technology Specialist, which should be located near the satellite receiver. These instructions may be updated or redistributed during the year.
Please set up your EJ10 adapter box (crab box) or Transmission Telephone Audio Interface (TTAI) in case an audio backup is needed during the broadcast.
For information about technical assistance, refer to the General Satellite Program Instructions for the Stake Technology Specialist, staketech.ChurchofJesusChrist.org, or mhtech.ChurchofJesusChrist.org. Troubleshooting assistance can be provided only if a telephone is available at the satellite receiver location.
Closed-Captioning
