With some Yong Men electing to join community or town BSA Troops as part of their goals in the new youth program, will the church be updating the requirements to the On My Honor Award. There are many religions who do not sponsor BSA Troops but have On My Honor awards the youth members of their

church can earn while participating in Scouting.

How would we successfully run the quorum? Are there going to be guidelines or do we have to figure it out through trial and error? The program states the youth are now in charge, but that seems to be the end of the list beyond just making activities. Seeing as the former leaders took care of most of

the things, we have little knowledge of how to run a successful quorum class. This also will count for the young women.

I'm currently serving in our Stake Young Women Presidency, some of the other leaders are really struggling with questions regarding the new youth program. Are we still going to be holding Beehive Conference, and Laurel & Priest activities? These are a couple of the questions that keep being tossed

around. Could you give some insight into this? I feel that the whole objective to this new program is to create unity amongst all age groups instead of consistently dividing them. Thanks for any help!

I am the class president for the 12-13 year olds and some of us are wondering if we want to finish Personal Progress later will we still be able to get the medallion, or is it up to the ward?

Can you tell me if all youth receive an Emblem of Belonging since this is a new program and they may have passed the ages of 8 & 12? Also, the same questions applies to the YW medallion. If they are older than 12,will they receive the medallion? Otherwise, if they don't have the medallion they can't

add the pendant.

I and my husband are in Guatemala helping in a small group that is part of a branch which is part of a mission. We are not part of a stake so is there a way that the young people here can be involved with stake activities even Stake conferences?
