How Has the Savior Influenced Your Life? Share Your Thoughts

    September 6, 2019
As President Russell M. Nelson celebrates 95 years of life with friends and an extended family of 16 million members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, he reflects on his many blessings.
“I’m the very first one to admit the Lord has spared my life,” President Nelson said in an interview following his recent Latin America ministry tour.
He expressed gratitude for the millions around the world who offer prayers on his behalf. Of the vitality in which he lives and ministers to Saints around the world, President Nelson gave thanks to God and said, “I have watched the Lord work His magic on me.”
As friends and family join in President Nelson’s 95th birthday celebration, “Let Us All Press On,” President Nelson wishes for everyone to focus on how we can “all press on in the work of the Lord” (Hymns, no. 243).
“I hope that the focus won’t be on me. I hope the focus will be on the Lord, His work…”
“I hope that the focus won’t be on me. I hope the focus will be on the Lord, His work, and the fact that He can work with anyone that sits in that presidential chair,” said President Nelson. “I’ve often made the statement it doesn’t matter who sits in that center chair as long as they understand how to receive revelation. And I still believe that.”
As President Nelson shares His love for our Savior and focuses on helping everyone come unto Jesus Christ, we invite you to share how the Savior has influenced your life and how you’re helping to press on in the work of the Lord.
